Document Control Specialist

Job Objective: As a key member of the Quality team, the Document Control Specialist is responsible for the administration of all documents within the Quality System. This position performs support tasks relating to the maintenance of the document control system as well as other general tasks needed to support overall product and documentation quality.

Essential Job Functions:

·         Manage and facilitate release of new documents and control change of existing documents within Globe’s Configuration Management process.

·         Responsible for storage, cataloging and retrieval of documents.

·         Scan documents or images, then organize them to maintain them, adhering to the company’s document lifecycle procedures. Any inactive documents and records are then archived.

·         Coordinates with internal and external customers to track and issue documents,

·         Control distribution of new documents and recall/destruction of obsolete documents.

Work Environment:

·         Usual working days/hours: Monday – Thursday 6:00am – 4:30pm; Friday 6:00am – 3:30pm.  Working hours are subject to change based on company needs.  May require occasional Saturdays.

·         Office environment

·         Frequently walks throughout the manufacturing area.

Requirements

·         Computer proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe, SyteLine ERP system.

·         Be able to maintain shortcut files and create hyperlinks for ease of access to internal and external customer’s documents.

·         Manage time and prioritize tasks effectively and be able to demonstrate a high level of accuracy.

·         Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate in a positive and effective manner.

·         Must have excellent listening skills and be able to handle multiple requests while detailing document activity.

·         Dependable, trustworthy, and have high level of integrity.

·         Able to lift boxes of documents and carrying documents from one place to another.

·         High School Diploma or equivalent.
